I was at Millennium Park, a well-known spot (in Abuja), filming a visualizer for a song I had just
released. In the middle of the shoot, a group of local musicians playing traditional Hausa music
passed by and unintentionally interrupted us. My videographer was understandably frustrated and
wanted to ask them to leave, but instead, I suggested we do something spontaneous. I invited them to
freestyle with me. I even mentioned, half-jokingly, that if the video we made together got a certain
number of comments when I posted it, we’d work on a full project (the video went viral on social
media). That impromptu moment ended up sparking something special, and we created this incredible
song together. They took the hook of the song and added extra percussions on the project.
